Wait for the Fury of the Seeds

dry tomato plants, heirloom seeds displayed on rockwool blocks, autofictional letters

The letters of Zoë addressed to A. were “found” in the vault of the former post office in Arnhem. As their addresses can’t be traced, they are exhibited for the public in the hope that they will reach back either Zoë or A.

The letters concern: the vivipary phenomenon in greenhouse tomatoes; neocolonial plantations that provide coconut substrate for high-tech tomato greenhouses and fermentation recipes for preserving heirloom seeds.

The visitors were invited to take one of the many heirloom tomato seeds “found” in one of the envelopes.
They are encouraged to plant it in soil, save the seeds according
to Zoë’s recipe and share them further on.
